CLARKTON – Bladenboro and Clarkton School of Discovery battled to a 24-24 tie Tuesday night in Waccamaw Middle School Conference football action.

The Bulldogs scored on their 1st 2 drives of the game. Justin Spaulding bolted 10 yards to cap the opening drive, and quarterback Hunter Hester tossed an 8-yard touchdown pass to Elijah McCollum that pushed the Bladenboro lead to 12-0.

Back came the Blue Devils with 24 unanswered points. Keyshawn Kemp banged through the line for 2 touchdowns and a pair of 2-point conversions.

The Blue Devils trimmed the lead to 12-8 at halftime then opened up a 24-12 lead in the 2nd half. Dashon Campbell powered into the end zone for the other CSD touchdown and added a 2-point conversion.

Kendell Lesane rallied the Bulldogs breaking loose for touchdown runs of 30 and 38 yards. Lesane’s 2nd touchdown run tied the game 24-24 with 54 seconds left in the game.

The Bulldogs will host Elizabethtown Tuesday in their final game of the season.  Clarkton is scheduled to travel to East Columbus on Monday, November 1st for a makeup game.
