TAR HEEL- Sincere McKinley rushed for 147 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead Bladenboro to a 42-7 Waccamaw Middle School Conference football victory over Tar Heel Tuesday night.

McKinley dashed 40 yards for his 1st touchdown then added scoring runs of 15, 8 and 10 yards. John “JJ” McDowell bolted 22 yards for another Bulldog touchdown.

Kendall Lesane sprinted 75 yards on a kickoff return for a Bladenboro touchdown and had another return touchdown called back due to a penalty. Lesane also carried into the end zone on a pair of 2-point conversion runs. Bulldog quarterback Ashton Davis powered into the end zone for another 2-point conversion.

Keon Whittington galloped 60 yards for the Tar Heel touchdown, and teammate Sebastian Ortega kicked the extra point.

“The entire defense did a pretty good job,” said Bulldog Coach Tim Benton. “But “JJ” and Andrew Wren stood out. Wren made several solo tackles. Devan Stanley did a good job blocking at tight end on offense.”

Bladenboro, now 1-1, will entertain West Columbus in their home opener Tuesday night. Tar Heel will travel to South Columbus.
