usafootball13The Bladenboro/Tar Heel Middle School Football game was suspended Thursday night when the lights at Bladenboro went out 30 seconds into the second half with Bladenboro leading 22-8. The game will be completed Monday at Bladenboro at 6 p.m.

Da’Shawn Hines scored the first touchdown for the Bulldogs, and teammate Trashawn Ballard ran the 2-point conversion.

The Panthers answered with a long touchdown drive of their own. Tar Heel tied the game with a pass for the 2-point conversion.

ShyRon Adams fielded the Tar Heel kick-off and put Bladenboro back on top with a long kick-off return for a touchdown. Hines carried into the end zone for the conversion.

Adams broke free for his second touchdown run of the game, then passed to Nolan Bryant for the 2-point conversion to end the first half scoring.
