ELIZABETHTOWN– Quarterback Jacob Nixon threw a pair of touchdown passes Tuesday night to lead Elizabethtown to a 30-14 Waccamaw Middle School Conference football victory over Tar Heel.

Nixon hurled a 35-yard pass to Malcolm Bolden for the first Cougar touchdown. Hunter Elks ran the 2-point conversion for an 8-0 lead. Bolden popped loose for a 10-yard touchdown run as Elizabethtown took a 14-8 halftime lead.

Elks bolted 6 yards for a Cougar touchdown in the third period, and Bolden carried for the 2-point conversion. Nixon connected with Cameron White on a 60-yard bomb for the final Elizabethtown touchdown. Elks ran the 2-point conversion.

Messyah Whitted scored the first Tar Heel touchdown. Ahmir Stepps ran the 2-point conversion. KeArean Ballard scored the second Panther touchdown. 

The Cougars, now 2-1, will host Clarkton School of Discovery Thursday night.
