BLADENBORO – Unbeaten Bladenboro built a 10-0 halftime lead en route to a 21-4 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over Tabor City Thursday.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs won the Waccamaw’s A League with an 8-0 conference record and posted a 10-0 overall record.

Jaylen Clark, Addison Wilcox and Kali Allen threw in a basket each in the opening quarter as Bladenboro grabbed a 6-0 lead. Zybriona Johnson and Angelina Jones tossed in a basket each in the 2nd period to push the lead to 10-0.

Makenna Thurman buried a 3-point shot, and Jones worked the paint for another basket as the Bladenboro lead grew to 15-4 after 3 quarters. Natalee Sykes and Allen bombed in 3-point shots in the final period as the lead grew to 21-4.

Allen led the Bladenboro scoring with 5 points, and Jones followed with 4 points. Thurman and Sykes added 3 points each.
