EVERGREEN – Mallory Bryan scored 6 of her game-high 12 points in the final quarter as Bladenboro held on for a 24-19 Waccamaw Middle School Conference victory over West Columbus Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs took an 18-16 lead into the final period, and Bryan drained a 3-point shot, another basket and a free throw to seal the verdict for Bladenboro.

Tierra Braddy led the West Columbus scoring with 11 points. Holland Davis followed Bryan on the Lady Bulldog scoring list with 4 points.

Bryan blistered the nets with a trio of first period baskets, and Brookee Singletary sank a free throw as Bladenboro grabbed an early lead 7-4 lead.

Davis and Kali Allen threw in second quarter baskets to keep Bladenboro up 11-10 at halftime. Braddy bombed in a pair of 3-point shots for the Lady Warriors in the first half.

Noria Singletary buried a 3-point shot for Bladenboro in the third period. Davis and Megan Pait fired in baskets to keep the Lady Bulldogs up 18-16 at the quarter break.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs, now 6-1 in Division AA play and 7-3 overall, will travel to Whiteville Central Thursday.
