BLADENBORO – Bladenboro’s Lady Bulldogs raced to a 15-3 halftime lead en route to a 27-11 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls basketball victory over Williams Township Monday.

Makayla Wright threw in a pair of first period baskets, Mallory Bryan nailed a 3-point shot, and Lainey Autry tossed in a basket as the Lady Bulldogs raced to a 10-2 lead. Teammate Rylee Chadwick tacked on a free throw.

Bryan and Megan Pait pumped in baskets in the second quarter, and Chadwick hit another free throw as the lead grew to 15-3.

Chadwick and Whitney McLean popped in 2 baskets each in the third quarter, and Wright added a basket as the Lady Bulldog lead stretched to 25-7. Autry dropped in the final Bladenboro basket.

Wright and Chadwick shared scoring honors atop the balanced Lady Bulldog attack with 6 points each. Bryan followed with 5 points, and McLean and Autry totaled 4 points each.

Coach Joey Autry’s Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-4 with the victory and will travel to Nakina Tuesday.
