BLADENBORO – Mallory Bryan poured in 20 points to lead Bladenboro’s Lady Bulldogs to a 33-14 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over West Columbus Thursday.

Bryan and Megan Pait tossed in first period baskets as the Lady Bulldogs claimed an early 4-3 lead. Bryan fired in a trio of baskets in the second quarter, and Holland Davis and Brookee Singletary added baskets as the Bladenboro halftime lead grew to 14-7.

Bryan drained a trio of third quarter baskets, and Noria Singletary threw in a basket to extend the lead to 22-8. Bryan pumped in 3 more baskets in the final period, and Trinity Meares sank a basket and a free throw. Kallie Bass dropped in another Lady Bulldog basket.

Tierra Braddy scored all 14 points for West Columbus.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-0 in AA Division play and 2-1 overall. Bladenboro will host Tar Heel Tuesday in the opening round of the Bladen County Tournament.
