Erica McKoy fired in 12 points to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to a 23-19 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory at Bladenboro Tuesday.
Bladenboro’s Kendall Lambreth nailed a 3-point shot, and Kassie Singletary, Jada Lofton and Kierra Hines added baskets as the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 9-5 first quarter lead.
McKoy threw in a couple of buckets in the second quarter, and Anna Kate White and Ashley Hardin scored baskets to edge the Lady Blue Devils ahead 13-12 at halftime.
Lambreth tossed in 4 points, and Singletary added 2 in the third quarter for Bladenboro, but White, Hardin and McKoy answered with 2 points each to keep Clarkton on top 19-18 at the quarter break.
McKoy tallied all 4 points for the winners in the final period as the Lady Blue Devils held on for the win.
White totaled 5 points for Clarkton, and Hardin followed with 4 points.
Lambreth topped the Lady Bulldog scoring with 7 points, and Singletary contributed 4 points.
Clarkton improves to 3-1 in the Bladen Five, while Bladenboro drops to 1-3.
