TAR HEEL – Aleigh Godwin’s 10 first-half points sparked East Columbus to a 13-3 lead and eventual 27-7 Waccamaw Middle School Conference ‘AA’ Division girls’ basketball victory over Tar Heel Thursday.

Wendy Sandoval who led the Lady Panthers with 5 points threw in a 1st quarter basket then sank a free throw in the 2nd period and 2 more foul shots in the 3rd quarter. Amiracle Robinson fired in a 4th quarter basket for Tar Heel.

Jaliyah Brown tossed in 6 points for the Lady Hawks, and Charity Bland added 5 points. East Columbus finished the season with a 6-4 record. Tar Heel was 0-11.
