Jatyra Moore-Peterson poured in 22 points to lead unbeaten Elizabethtown to a 36-18 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory over visiting Tar Heel Tuesday night.
Teammate Natalie Gainey pumped in 10 points for the Lady Cougars. Elizabethtown built a 15-10 first half lead, then pulled away with a 21-8 second-half surge.
Conner Brisson led the Tar Heel scoring with 7 points, and teammate Claudia Reyes threw in 6 points.
Coach Eric Hines’ Lady Cougars are atop the Bladen Five with a 4-0 record.
