NAKINA – Len’ya Harrell fired in 13 points to lead Tar Heel to a 28-14 Waccamaw Middle School girls basketball victory over Nakina Tuesday.

Harrell and Keira Lewis tossed in a pair of first half baskets each as the Lady Panthers racked up 14 points.

Harrell threw in 3 baskets in the third quarter then drained a 3-point shot in the fourth period. Lewis nailed a 3-point shot in the fourth quarter and totaled 7 points in the game. Harmony Jacobs added 4 points for the winners.

Kaylee Etheridge topped the Lady Mustang scoring with 8 points.

Tar Heel will travel to Bladenboro Thursday.
