BasketballKendall Lambeth poured in 20 points to lead Bladenboro to a 32-20 Bladen Five Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over visiting Tar Heel Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs edged in front 4-3 in the first quarter, and Lambeth’s outside shooting keyed a 14-4 run that vaulted Bladenboro to an 18-7 halftime lead.

Bladenboro outscored the Lady Panthers 14-13 in the second half. Cassie Singletary tossed in 7 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Conner Brisson topped the Tar Heel scoring with 12 points, and teammates Claudia Reyes and Jasmine Munoz added 4 points each.

Bladenboro improved to 1-1 with the victory. Tar Heel dropped to 0-2.
