BLADENBORO – Natalee Sykes drilled in 2 goals to lead Bladenboro to a 2-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ soccer victory Thursday over Williams Township.
Sykes turned an assist from Chloe Walters into a 1st half goal and a 1-0 Lady Bulldog lead. In the 2nd half, Makenna Thurman sent a pass to Sykes who banged in her 2nd goal of the game.
Coach Otis Evans noted that the Bulldog defense led by keeper Giovanna Spaulding, fullbacks Kali Allen, Jaylen Clark and Emma King and sweeper Addie Wilcox has shutout the opposition in 3 of the last 4 games.
Bladenboro improves to 4-2 and will travel to Nakina Monday at 4 p.m.
