Bladenboro’s Lady Bulldogs scored a trio of second-half goals to defeat Elizabethtown 3-0 Tuesday in the Bladen Five Middle School Conference girls soccer opener for both schools at County Park.

After a scoreless first half, Lainey Autry broke the scoring ice by firing in the first Bladenboro goal. Rylee Chadwick knocked in the second goal for the Lady Bulldogs, and Savannah Turbeville drilled in the final Bladenboro goal.

Hannah Hester went the distance in goal and recorded the shutout for the Lady Bulldogs.

“Zoe Smith had multiple saves in goal for us,” said Elizabethtown Coach Laura Hall. “Our offense was only able to get 3 shots off.”

Bladenboro will play Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday at 5 p.m. Elizabethtown will battle Tar Heel in the 4 p.m. opener at County Park.
