ELIZABETHTOWN – Laney Autry fired in the decisive goal in the 50th minute of play to lift Bladenboro to a 4-3 Waccamaw Middle School Conference victory over Hallsboro at County Park.

Autry turned an assist from Rylee Chadwick into the game-winner after Hallsboro had rallied from a 3-1 deficit with a pair of second-half goals.

The Lady Tigers grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first minute of play, but Chadwick answered with a tying goal 5 minutes later off of an assist from Kaden Thurman.

In the 18th minute, Whitney McLean knocked in the go-ahead goal for the Lady Bulldogs off of a Chadwick assist.

Four minutes into the second half, Chadwick banged in her second goal of the game to stretch the Bladenboro lead to 3-1. Chadwick finished with 2 goals and 2 assists for the winners.

Coach Kristen Parker’s Lady Bulldogs, now 2-0, will travel to Williams Wednesday for a 4 p.m. game.
