ELIZABETHTOWN- Sophia Masaid racked up a “Hat Trick’ plus two of five goals Wednesday to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to an 8-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls soccer victory over Hallsboro at County Park.
In the fourth minute of play, Masaid opened the scoring with an unassisted goal. Three minutes later Masaid turned an assist from Maegan Burney into her second goal for a 2-0 Lady Blue Devil lead.
In the 22nd minute, Masaid sent a pass to Cydney Campbell who knocked in the goal for a 3-0 lead. A minute later Masaid delivered her second assist with a pass to Molly Evans who banged in the goal for a 4-0 halftime lead.
Masaid started the second half with her third goal of the game. Nine minutes later Masaid drilled in her third unassisted goal of the game for a 6-0 CSD lead.
Three minutes later Masaid converted an assist from Mauri Flores into her fifth and final goal of the game. Two minutes later Evans scored her second goal of the game off of an assist from AnnaGrey Heustess.
Coach Jordan Raynor’s Lady Blue Devils raised their record to 5-0-1.
