Middle School Girls Soccer: Clarkton School of Discovery 8, Tabor City 0

ELIZABETHTOWN – Seven different Clarkton School of Discovery players scored as the Lady Blue Devils remained undefeated with an 8-0 victory over Tabor City on Wednesday at Bladen County Park in Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls soccer action.

Molly Evans turned an assist from Addie Bowen into the first Lady Blue Devil goal in the third minute of play. Two minutes later Reese Hester knocked in a goal to boost the CSD lead to 2-0.

After a Tabor City handball in the eighth minute, Bowen drilled in the penalty kick. Three minutes later Bowen found the back of the net again converting a Hester assist into a goal and a 4-0 lead.

In the 24th minute Emma McDuffie banged in a goal that padded the Lady Blue Devil lead to 5-0.

Another Lady Red Devil handball resulted in a second-half goal for Reagan Moore who who fired in the penalty kick. Three minutes later Rylee Garrison stretched the lead to 7-0 with a goal.

ShaNidra Richardson capped the Clarkton scoring with a goal nine minutes later.

Coach Jordan Raynor’s Lady Blue Devils improved to 3-0 and will play Emereau Charter on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Elizabethtown.
