WHITEVILLE – Heidi Rebollar and Maria Medina Leal scored goals as Elizabethtown’s Lady Cougars claimed their second win of the season 3-1 over Whiteville Central on Wednesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls soccer action.
Rebollar fired in two goals, and Leal knocked in one goal for the winners, who improved to 5-1 on the season.
“It was a very tough game,” said Elizabethtown Coach Amanda Allen. “Heavyn Smith and Niyah Wooten played tough defense. All of the girls worked hard, and we came out on top – much better than Monday.”
The Lady Cougars will travel to West Columbus on Thursday.
