Wilmer Garcia recorded a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals to lead Bladenboro to a 6-1 Bladen Five Middle School Conference victory over East Arcadia Monday at County Park.

The Bulldogs built a 2-1 halftime lead and pulled away in the second half. “When East Arcadia got tired, the game got away from them,” said Bladenboro Coach Steve Thurman.

Blake Jackson fired in a pair of goals for the winners, and Jordan Benson scored the other Bulldog goal.

“Trashawn Ballard and Jake Butler had great defensive games,” continued Coach Thurman. Butler had 7 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs evened their record at 2-2 and will play Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday at 5 p.m. East Arcadia will battle Elizabethtown Tuesday at 4 p.m.
