BLADENBORO – Allison Hickman pitched a no-hitter and struck out 8 batters to lead unbeaten Bladenboro to a 15-0 Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball victory over Nakina Wednesday.

Allison Hickman walked 3 batters, and the 2nd batter of the game reached on an error to account for the only Nakina baserunners.

Addison Wilcox and Allison Hickman slammed doubles to highlight the Lady Bulldogs 4-run 1st inning. Leea Wilkins, Natalee Sykes and Wilcox drove in runs in the 2nd inning as the lead grew to 7-0.

Morgan Moore and Wilkins smashed doubles in Bladenboro’s 2-run 3rd inning that padded the lead to 9-0. Moore walloped a 2-run triple in the Lady Bulldogs 4th inning rally. Jaylen Clark and Wilkins smacked run-scoring singles, before Kali Allen ended the game on the mercy rule by swatting a 2-run single to right field.

Wilcox batted a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in. Wilkins finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs. Moore slugged the double and the triple, scored twice and had 2 RBIs. Allison Hickman batted 2-for-3 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.

Sykes doubled, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. Allen finished with the 3 RBIs, scored a run and delivered the game-ending hit. Clark singled in a run and scored twice. Abbie Hickman, Ashley Rivon and Makenna Thurman scored 1 run each.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-0 in league play and 8-0 overall and have already clinched the ‘A’ League championship. They are slated to play at Elizabethtown Tuesday.
