CLARKTON – Allison Hickman pitched a 1-hit shutout and struck out 8 batters as Bladenboro defeated Clarkton School of Discovery 17-0 Wednesday to complete an undefeated season with a perfect 10-0 record.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs won the Waccamaw Middle School ‘A’ Conference softball championship with an 8-0 league record.

The Lady Bulldogs broke loose with 8 runs in the 1st inning and 7 more in the 2nd inning. Catcher Leea Wilkins blasted a 3-run triple, walked twice and finished with 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Natalee Sykes belted a 2-run single, walked twice and scored a run.

Jaylen Clark smacked a 2-run single, walked and scored twice for Bladenboro. Kali Allen walked 3 times and had 2 RBIs. Addison Wilcox walked twice, scored twice and had an RBI. Morgan Moore and Makenna Thurman both drew walks and they were both were hit by pitches. They scored 2 runs each.

Allison Hickman scored twice. Karlee Gause was hit by a pitch, scored a run and had an RBI. Abbie Hickman walked and scored. Ashley Rivon walked and scored a run. The Lady Bulldogs capitalized on 5 errors, 14 walks and 3 hit batters.

Nevaeh Brown cracked a 3rd inning single for Clarkton, and Cabria Baldwin drew a 1st inning walk.
