Kayleigh Raynor pitched a no-hitter for Elizabethtown Middle Thursday as the Lady Cougars defeated Tar Heel 16-0 in a Bladen Five Middle School Conference softball game.
Raynor walloped an inside-the-park home run, and teammate Trinity Stephens blasted a grand-slam home run.
It was the conference opener for Coach Tarrah Woodruff’s Lady Cougars who will travel to Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game.
