ELIZABETHTOWN – Tatum Allen pitched a no-hitter and struck out 8 batters to lead Emereau Bladen to a 15-0 non-conference middle school softball victory over Tar Heel Friday at County Park.

Allen hit Tar Heel lead-off batter Serenity Council with a pitch in the 1st inning then retired the next 9 batters in a row.

Taylor Dowless walked to start the Lady Aviator half of the 1st and Jaimee Perkins raked a single to leftfield. Allen, Gracey Edwards and Emma Fisher drew walks, and Addison Douglas was hit by a pitch. Dowless, Perkins, Allen, Edwards, Fisher and Douglas all scored runs as Emereau took a 6-0 lead.

Dowless and Allen walked to begin the Lady Aviator 2nd inning. Edwards lined a single to center field, and Fisher was hit by a pitch. Douglas and Rylee Usher drew walks, and Sadee Brown and Mollie Sasser smacked singles. Dowless, Allen, Edwards, Fisher and Douglas all scored runs in the inning as the lead grew to 11-0.

Perkins was hit by a pitch, and Allen walloped a 2-run home run to left-center field in the Emereau 3rd inning. Edwards smacked another single, Fisher walked, and Douglas knocked in both Edwards and Fisher with a single to center field that ended the game on the mercy rule.

Edwards batted 2-for-2 with a walk and 3 runs scored. Allen slugged the 2-run homer, walked twice and scored 3 runs. Perkins singled, was hit by a pitch and scored 2 runs. Fisher walked twice, was hit by a pitch and scored 3 runs.

Dowless walked twice and scored 2 runs. Douglas belted the 2-run single, walked, was hit by a pitch and scored 2 runs. Sasser and Brown both singled and both walked, and Usher also walked. The Lady Aviators were recipients of 10 walks and had 3 batters hit by pitches.

Emereau Bladen improved to 7-1 and will travel to Riverside in Fayetteville Tuesday. Tar Heel, now 0-7, will host Elizabethtown Monday at County Park.
