TAR HEEL – Williams Township defeated Tar Heel 18-1 Monday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.
The Lady Aggies scored 7 runs in the second inning, six more in the third inning and five runs in the fourth.
Madilyn Brisson belted a single to begin the third inning, but was forced at second base on Brooke Priest’s fielder’s choice. Priest stole second base, and raced home when pitcher Gracie Faircloth hammed a double to right-centerfield.
Kennedy Carroll and Faircloth slammed doubles, and Brisson belted a single for the three Tar Heel hits.
Tar Heel will host Clarkton School of Discovery Thursday.
