Clarkton School of Discovery won both of their Waccamaw Conference Middle School Volleyball matches Thursday night at Williams Township.
Coach Chris Callihan’s Lady Blue Devils lost their first set to Hallsboro but rallied to win the last two sets. Clarkton won the final set 15-11 to complete the 2-1 victory.
In their second match, the Lady Blue Devils swept the host Williams team 2-0 by set scores of 25-20 and 25-21.
Tar Heel dropped their first set to Williams but battled the Lady Aggies tooth-and-nail in the second set before being edged by a 29-27 score.
The Lady Panthers lost their first set to Hallsboro, but battled back to win the second set and even the match 1-1. However Hallsboro won the final set to claim the 2-1 victory.
At Bladenboro, the Lady Bulldogs and Elizabethtown Middle were both swept by Whiteville Central and Nakina by 2-0 scores in each match.
