Minuteman Food Mart is a convenience store that’s popular across the Carolinas. “We are a Fourth Generation Owned & Operated Company since 1948! We currently have 43 locations across Southeast North & South Carolina,” according to Kathy Williams, Retail Marketing Manager for Minuteman Food Mart. The company is among countless others that are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and must change their normal business operations in order to safely serve the community.
The Minuteman Food Mart on 1200 West Broad Street, Elizabethtown NC 28337, is now offering Curbside Pick Up. This service will allow customers to safely purchase essential items and minimize the spread of the virus. They ask customers to call their number, (910) 862-3231, ahead of time to place the order and they will bring it out to your vehicle. The service is offered from 7 am – 7 pm and only debit or credit are accepted.
Many of those in the community are continuing to work, risking their safety and that of their family, so they can help those who are affected by the virus. Williams says, “We would like to show our appreciation to the Medical field and First Responders during this crisis with a FREE CUP of Coffee at any one of our locations!” All medical, health department, EMS, Fire, and Police workers are eligible for the offer, which lasts until the end of April. Workers are asked to present a medical ID or be in uniform to receive their cup of coffee.
Williams added, “We, as a company, want to do our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19, to assist our customers in any way possible and also ‘THANK’ the ones on the frontlines serving our communities, daily.”
