In an open letter sent to BladenOnline.com, Minuteman Food Mart thanked customers for raising money to support Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
According to the Mayo Clinic, muscular dystrophies is when abnormal genes lead to muscle degeneration. Most forms begin in childhood. Damaged muscles become progressively weaker. Most people who have the condition eventually need a wheelchair. Other symptoms include trouble breathing or swallowing.
This year with the money raised by customers at Minuteman Food Mart 35 children will be able to attend MDA camp. Following is the open letter sent from Minuteman Food Mart to BladenOnline.com.
We would like to say “Thank You” to all of our customers at Minuteman Food Mart for their generous contributions during our MDA fundraiser. Because of you, we were able to raise $70,000.00 this year and send 35 kids to MDA camp.
