“Help Everyone Respect Others”

By: Hailey Smith

An appearance was made today at Dublin Primary School by Miss Bladenboro, Lindsey Herring. Miss Bladenboro’s agenda was to talk with the students about Anti-Bullying. The crowd gathered at Dublin Primary School gave the queen a warm welcome, she opened up with telling her life story on how bulling affected her as a kid.

Lindsey went on to say “grow from people bullying you, don’t let it bring you down.” Lindsey asked the students if they have or have had a hero in life. The students of Dublin Primary all yelled out “YES!” With a bunch of hands raised in the air, one student said, “My hero is my daddy!” Lindsey responded back to the student saying, “My hero is my dad too.”
Our Bladen County beauty wants everyone to think of a H.E.R.O. this way, “Help Everyone Respect Others”. Lindsey sang a song to the students that she said helped her through her hard times of bullying. In closing, Miss Bladenboro presented a banner to Dublin Primary School. The poster is to remind all the student what it actually means to be a H.E.R.O.(“Help Everyone Respect Others”).
The students of Dublin Primary were not the only students that came to support Miss Bladenboro, Lindsey Herring, the students of West Bladen Dream Team came to show their love and support for the Bladenboro native.  In June, 2015, in Raleigh, NC, Herring is to compete for the crown of Miss North Carolina. If she wins there she will be moving on to The Miss America Pageant.
