Currie, NC- Superintendent Ricardo Perez announced that due to the uncertainty of incoming Hurricane Joaquin’s pathway, and with the projection for many inches of rain that could cause flooding on the rural roads surrounding the park, Moores Creek National Battlefield will be closed Saturday, October 3, 2015 and Sunday, October 4, 2015. A determination will be made about park operations for the beginning of the week once assessments have been made about access to the park.
