Superintendent Ricardo Perez announced that due to the uncertainty of incoming Tropical Storm Hermine, and with the projection for many inches of rain that could cause flooding on the rural roads surrounding the park, Moores Creek National Battlefield will be closed Friday, September 2, 2016, and a delayed entry is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2016.
A determination will be made about park operations Saturday once assessments have been made about access to the park.
