More than 60 inches of rain fell in 2015

rain_gaugeAn umbrella or raincoat was certainly a necessary item in 2015. Officially, 64.67 inches of rain was measured in Bladen Online’s gauge. There was measureable rainfall on 143 of the 365 days. Indeed, it was a wet year.

Bladen Online’s gauge is located in the Cape Owen Manor subdivision near Dublin. It’s part of the national Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network (CoCoRaHS), which is an organization of volunteers who report precipitation amounts each day. Readings are taken about 8 a.m. each day.

For 2015, there were 18 days with at least one inch of rain.
