The Mother County Genealogical Society will meet in the Bladenboro Historical Society Building, 818 South Main Street, Bladenboro on April 9th from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Following a business session, Henry Singletary will present a program on the history of Butters Lumber Company. This company was in business from 1887 through 1938, had large sawmills at Boardman and Butters, and harvested timber throughout Big Swamp.
Everyone interested in genealogy and history are welcome.
