Sunday, May 9, 2021, is the official Mother’s Day. It is a day to give thanks, honor, and remember. Not only the importance of our moms in our lives. But also their daily work.
One of the first words we learn to say, its mom. It’s a fascinating word. This word is one of the most used by human beings. With this word, we refer to one of the most influential characters in our actions. Also, just by naming or thinking about it, we can reflect all kinds of emotions. We use it when we are happy, sad, surprised, and angry. We also use it when we are excited, upset, fearful, and even confused. The word mom is clear and concise, but it contains a significant meaning for each of us.
The history of Mother’s Day goes back several years. The idea began in the United States when Anna Jarvis held a memorial service for her mother on May 12, 1907. The celebration spread. Currently, Mother’s Day is celebrated around the world.
“Our mom is not like any other.” We find in our mothers that unique touch that completely distinguishes them from the others. Each mother is different and shows her love in her own way. To be a mother, there is no manual, nor is there an ideal model.
Let’s remind mom of the immense place she occupies in our hearts. Some ideas for us to show our appreciation and gratitude can be:
- Preparing food.
- Giving her a gift.
- Giving her a card or a letter.
- Write a poem.
- Give her a kiss and a hug and tell her how much we love her.
Here is a poem “For mom:”
And I don’t know if she knows
But I want her to know
That for her I’d cross a thousand of worlds
And I don’t know if she believes me
But I want her to believe
If it’s for her, I give my life
If it is for her, I give my being
Because it’s her
Her. My relief in fatigue
Her. My cure in agony
She is the one who knows everything about me
She is the one who wipes my tears in tragedy and teaches me
That even if I disagree
There’s always another way to see
She is the one who, with just a kiss
Can fly me out of here
She is the one who, with her gestures,
express more than one objection
It’s her. It’s my mother and not only that
She is love
And sometimes discord
And I don’t know if she knows
But I’ll tell her again
That without her glare
I wouldn’t be the same
And I don’t know if I told her
But I will tell her every day of my life
That while aware I am
My love for her intact I’ll save.
