NEWPORT NEWS, VA- Twin brothers Farrell and Larrell Murchison led Louisburg College to a 42-0 victory Sunday over the Christopher Newport University junior varsity.

Running back Farrell Murchison rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on just ten carries. Defensive end Larrell Murchison forced a fumble and made 3 solo tackles for a total of ten yards in losses.

After a pass interception stopped the first Hurricane drive, Farrell Murchison broke loose for runs of 11, 6 and 9 yards before galloping to the end zone from 25 yards out for the touchdown and a 7-0 Louisburg lead after the extra point.

Farrell Murchison capped a 72-yard scoring drive with a 9-yard touchdown run that pushed the Hurricane lead to 21-0 with 4:30 left in the half.

On the first Christopher Newport possession of the second half, Larrell Murchison dropped a Captain runner for a 2-yard loss then on the next play knocked the ball loose. The Captains recovered their own fumble, but the play resulted in a 4-yard loss.

The Hurricanes remained unbeaten at 4-0 with the victory and will travel to Palmetto Prep in Columbia, SC Sunday for a 2 p.m. game.
