NAKINA – Clarkton School of Discovery defeated Hallsboro Middle 2-1 Monday night in the opening round of the Nakina Invitational Volleyball Tournament.
The Lady Blue Devils advance to play Whiteville Central Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. The winner of that match advances to Wednesday’s tournament championship.
Bladenboro Middle battled Tabor City Middle on even terms throughout a marathon first set before Tabor City pulled out a 32-30 victory. The Eagles also won the second set to claim the 2-0 win.
