NAKINA – Whiteville Central defeated Clarkton School of Discovery 2-0 Tuesday night in the semi-finals of the Nakina Invitational Volleyball Tournament.

The Lady Hornets, the Waccamaw Middle School Conference Class AAA Division champions, advance to Wednesday’s tournament championship game.

Coach Chris Callihan’s Lady Blue Devils finished their season with a 14-4 record and shared the Waccamaw’s Class AA Division championship with Williams and Nakina.

“It was a pretty good year,” said Coach Callihan.
