On Wednesday morning, North Carolina National Guard Troops arrived at the Armory located on Swanzy Street in Elizabethtown. The troops are here to provide support and assist residents where ever they are needed.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper activated the North Carolina National Guard and by 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12th, more than 2,800 troops will be activated and ready to respond to assist with clearing of roadways, supporting communications, protecting lives and providing safety throughout the duration of Hurricane Florence.
