The National Weather Service has issued an alert for a line of snow showers spotted at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday from near Burgaw to Whiteville and Florence, S.C., moving east at 30 mph. These snow showers may accumulate up to a dusting on grassy and elevated surfaces in southern Bladen County. Roadways, however, are expected to remain only wet.
Visibilities may drop quickly to around two miles within these snow showers. The National Weather Service urges extra caution if you must travel as rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to accidents.
