The North Carolina Department of Transportation has issued the latest road closings, openings and projected road closures for Bladen County.
Openings:
Currently, there are no road openings to announce.
CLOSINGS:
Marsh Road
Due to weather related delays, Marsh Road will remain closed at a location 0.16 miles south of NC 41 until late Monday afternoon.
Coley Road
Coley Road is closed in order to replace the bridge over Hammonds Creek. The bridge replacement project will take until late November/early December. A signed detour will be in effect to use Airport Road to White Plains Church Road to Vause Road to Rosindale Road.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
US 701 Bypass in Clarkton
Beginning Tuesday, October 17, NC DOT plans to close the US 701 Bypass at the railroad tracks in Clarkton. The railroad plans to install an upgraded crossing at the location. A signed detour will be in place to use NC 211 and US 701 Business. The work should be complete by next Friday assuming good weather.
Robin Lane
Beginning Wednesday, October 18th, NC DOT plans to close Robin Lane at a location 0.1 miles south of NC 41 in order to replace a crossline pipe. The road should re-open by late Thursday afternoon (October 19th).
