The North Carolina Department of Transportation has released an update on road closings/openings in Bladen County. They are as follows:
OPENINGS:
NC 21o East is now open.
CLOSINGS:
Owen Hill Road
Owen Hill Road remains closed due to construction of a double line of cast in place reinforced concrete box culvert. Construction is well underway, but it will be a few weeks before work is complete.
Britt Road
Although passable for emergency purposes, Britt Road officially remains closed until work is 100 percent complete on Monday.
UPCOMING CLOSINGS:
NC 211 East
Beginning Monday morning (April 24, 2017), NC DOT will begin replacement of a crossline 0.1 miles east of White Plains Church Rd. Monday’s work will be under flagger control while a full closure will go into effect Tuesday through Thursday. A signed detour will be in place to use Rosindale Rd. and White Plains Church Rd.
Twisted Hickory Road
Beginning Tuesday morning (April 25, 2017), Twisted Hickory Road will be closed 0.4 miles south of Burney Road. The road will be closed the remainder of next week in order to replace a crossline pipe.
ELWELL FERRY:
Elwell Ferry is operating.
