A crash on General Howe Road in Columbus County killed two people Saturday night.
The crash occurred on NC 11 (General Howe Road) near Riegelwood when a minivan crossed the centerline and struck a logging truck head on, according to reports. The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. Both vehicle caught fire and the driver and passenger of the minivan were ejected.
The driver of the logging truck escaped with only minor injuries.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
