The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is holding a graduation ceremony for the  140th Basic Patrol School Friday, November 18, at 10 a.m. The graduation ends 15 weeks of extensive academic and physical training.

The ceremony will be held at the Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road, Cary. Colonial Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Tryon Road and Walnut Street/Holly Springs Road in Southeastern Cary.

Among those graduating from the 140th Basic Patrol School are Bladen County residents Anthony Smith and Eric Buffkin. Smith and Buffkin are both assigned to Troop B Sampson County.

Also, graduating was Trevor Bryan, Christopher Cannady, Justin Waldrop, and Timothy Inman, all of Columbus County. Bryan and Cannady are assigned to Troop B Robeson County; Waldrop is assigned to Troop B Harnett County; and Inman is assigned to Troop B Brunswick County.
