NC Theological Seminary conducted an Open House recently at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church. The Open House was a time to introduce new and prospective students to the seminary which has been serving Bladen County for four years, according to Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Rev. Louie Boykin.

The school is certified through the North Carolina Board of Governors, which certifies all colleges, and is accredited by the Transworld Accrediting Commission International.

The Rev. Boykin serves as President and his wife, Katrina Boykin serves as Vice-President of the school, which is a satellite campus of the North Carolina Theological Seminary. Students have the option to take courses online or in person on Monday evenings at Baldwin Branch MBC.

Why study the Bible or learn theology? Rev. Boykin said it is important to know the living Word of God and having the NC Theological Seminary in Bladen County makes learning the Bible easier. “What it does is it enlightens and reopens the Word of God to enlighten, enhance, and establish a more Christ like attitude and to exemplify more of the love of Christ” said Rev. Louie Boykin.
