The N.C. Department of transportation announced Friday that State Road 1003 (Twisted Hickory) will be closed beginning March 13 for crossline repair southwest of Burney Road. The work is expected to continue through March 23.
Other road-related announcements for Bladen County include:
CLOSED
• SR1003 (Faulkner Road) at NC 211 is closed for crossline repair through March 17 at 5 p.m.
• US 701N: Both lanes of the northbound side over the Cape Fear River are closed. Traffic is being rerouted to the southbound lanes. The closure has a wide load traffic restriction.
• Elwell Ferry is open.
