BaseballSenior Haley Hutchins pitched a 2-hitter and struck out five to lead Washington to an 11-1 NCHSAA Class 2-A Softball Play-off victory over visiting West Bladen Wednesday night.

Wright hammered a triple and a single and drove in 2 runs to lead the hitters for the Pam Pack. Senior Allison Brantley and sophomore Jada Lodge batted 2-4 for the winners. Brantley knocked in a run, and Lodge scored twice.

Washington scored 2 runs in the first inning and 5 more in the second to go up 7-0. A 3-run fifth inning by the Pam Pack ended the game on the ten-run rule.

West Bladen pushed across their only run in the third inning. The Lady Knights finished their season with a 12-9 record.
