Top-seeded Carrboro defeated West Bladen 3-0 Saturday in the opening round of the NCHSAA Class 2-A Volleyball Play-offs at Carrboro.
The Lady Jaguars won the first two sets by identical 25-7 scores, then took the third and final set by a 25-15 score.
Carrboro advances to the second round with a 24-2 record and will host Midway, another Four County Conference team. Midway defeated Bartlett-Yancey 3-2 Saturday.
West Bladen’s Lady Knights finish their season with a 7-14 record.
