East Bladen High SchoolEast Bladen’s Lady Eagles open the NCHSAA Class 2A soccer play-offs at home Wednesday night against the Randleman Lady Tigers, the third-place team from the PAC-6 Conference. Game time is 6 p.m.

Senior Lacey Suggs leads the East Bladen offense with 37 goals and 24 assists. Sophomore Hannah Devane has been working her way back from an injury, but still has 21 assists and 12 goals in just 16 games.

Junior Justyna Gargala has tallied 10 goals and 17 assists, and senior Abby Ward has dished out 12 assists to go with 9 goals.

Defensively, senior Claire Campbell and Suggs have both racked up 140 steals. Ward has totaled 116 steals, and Gargala has 96 steals. Devane follows with 87 steals, and freshmen Ting Lin and Ashley Hardin have 76 and 72 steals respectively.

Senior Kathryn Cole has 16 wins and 10 shutouts in goal for the Lady Eagles. East Bladen’s only 2 losses all season were to Four County Conference champion and No. 4 seed Clinton.

Randleman finished 4-4 in the PAC-6 and scored 16 goals while giving up 19 goals.

Against a tough non-conference schedule that included Class 3A foes Asheboro (17-4) and Southwestern Randolph (17-1-1) and Class 2A West Davidson (19-2-1), the Lady Tigers were 2-8 and gave up 47 goals while scoring only 13.
