GRAHAM – Two East Bladen doubles teams participated Friday in the NCHSAA Class 2A MidEast Tennis Regionals at Bill Cooke Park.
The team of Jackson Bostic and Will Hester won their opening round match 6-0, 6-1 over Roanoke Rapids’ Peyton Clayton and Kenny Odom. In a second round match, Bostic and Hester were eliminated by a team from Carrboro 6-2, 6-2.
The other Eagle team of Jay McGill and Jake Evans lost their opening round match to the NC School of Science & Math’s Brian Lin and Winfield Warren 6-0, 6-1.
West Bladen’s Jose Osorio qualified for the singles regionals but decided not to play due to the West Bladen prom being moved to the same day as the regional.
