There is a new center coming to town for local athletes. Some Bladen and Columbus County baseball and softball players are excited to hear about the opening of a new training facility.
This Saturday, May 26th a Grand Opening of the new Baseball and Softball Training Center will be held by the business owner, Derick Graham and the Columbus County Chamber of Commerce. The training center is located at located at 1001 S. Lee Street in Whiteville.
Graham said he looks forward to explaining to players and their parents how the Dixie Youth leagues and the Travel Ball leagues can complement each other. He said his focus is to show others how the two leagues don’t have to be in competition.
